March 24, 2026, AUGUSTA, Maine — Maine State Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of Travis Rowell to Vice President, Mortgage Lending.
In his new role, Rowell will lead all aspects of the credit union’s mortgage department, including mortgage sales, operations, and product development.
“We are excited to have someone with Travis’s depth of mortgage experience leading this department,” said Brie-Anne Mellor, Chief Lending Officer at Maine State Credit Union. “His background in both sales and product development, along with his strong commitment to our members, makes him a great fit for this role.”
Rowell joined Maine State Credit Union in 2023 as a mortgage lender and has played an important role in strengthening the organization’s mortgage offerings. “I’m honored to step into this role,” said Rowell. “Maine State Credit Union truly cares about its members and invests in the growth and development of its employees. I’m excited for the opportunity to share my experience, support our team, and continue improving the mortgage experience for the people we serve.”
A 14-year veteran of the mortgage industry, Rowell has witnessed and adapted to significant changes across the housing and lending markets. He is a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington and the Kennebec Leadership Institute.
Outside of work, Rowell enjoys exploring Maine with his wife, Hilary.
