- Out-of-state resident/Maine State CU member attending a Maine college or university

- School certification required
- Must meet credit standards (with or without co-signer)
If applying with a co-signer, co-signer must complete a private loan counseling course provided by the Finance Authority of Maine prior to completing the loan application.

Payment of principal and interest begins immediately. There is no deferment should you decide to go back to school, so be sure to consider carefully if now is the right time for you to refinance your student loans.
