VISA Travel Insurance Benefits
Wherever you go, your Maine State Credit Union Rewards card has you covered.
Baggage Delay Reimbursement
This benefit provides reimbursement for essential items if your checked baggage is delayed for more than four hours. The reimbursement is up to $100 per day, with a maximum of $300 per trip.
Cellular Telephone Protection
Covers damage, theft, or accidental parting of eligible phones up to $500 per claim, max 2 claims/year, subject to a $50 deductible.
Emergency Evacuation & Repatriation
Coverage up to $10,000 for emergency evacuation and $1,000 for repatriation of remains. Must be pre-approved and arranged by the Benefit Administrator.
Emergency Medical/Dental Coverage
Reimburses up to $2,500 for emergency treatment during a covered trip, with a $50 deductible. Hotel recuperation benefit: $75/day up to 5 days.
Extended Warranty Protection
Extends eligible warranties by up to 1 year on warranties of 3 years or less. Max coverage: $10,000 per claim, $50,000 per cardholder.
Hotel Theft Protection
Reimburses up to $1,000 for personal items stolen from your U.S./Canada hotel room with forceful entry, proper documentation, and a police report.
Lost Luggage Reimbursement
Reimburses up to $1,250 for lost or misdirected checked baggage. Excludes carry-ons and certain items (e.g. electronics, documents).
Porch Piracy Protection
Coverage for theft of delivered packages up to $1,000 per claim and $10,000 per cardholder within 90 days of purchase.
Travel Accident Insurance
Accidental death and dismemberment coverage up to $100,000 for cardholders and 50% for dependents.
Trip Cancellation & Interruption
Reimburses up to $2,000 per insured person for non-refundable trip costs if travel is cancelled or interrupted for covered reasons.
Trip Delay Reimbursement
Reimburses up to $300 per ticket for expenses incurred after a 12+ hour delay during covered travel.
