Maine State Credit Union Expands Retail Team and Promotes Four

January 11, 2024 – Augusta, ME – Maine State Credit Union is excited to announce changes to its retail team, which will allow it to continue to provide members with the highest level of support across the state of Maine as it continues to expand into new markets.

Lavetta Denson, has been promoted to the role of Vice President, Regional Retail Manager.  In this new role, she oversees all branches and will work with the managers to create an enhanced member-centric experience across the branch network. Lavetta was previously the Branch Manager at the 200 Capitol Street branch in Augusta.

Jennifer Chipman has been promoted to Vice President, New Business Development Manager.  In this newly created role, Jenn will work with our commercial, mortgage, and branch teams to help spread the word about Maine State Credit Union and all the products and services that it provides.  Jenn was previously the Branch Manager in Rockland.

“Both Lavetta and Jenn are natural leaders,” said Shane Abbott, Senior Vice President and Chief Retail Officer, “they each have a lot to teach others and will excel in building out each of these new teams.”

Hillary Jackson has been promoted to Branch Manager in Rockland.  Hillary will assume leadership of the branch and work closely with Lavetta and Jenn to continue to expand the presence of Maine State Credit Union along the coast. Hillary previously was the assistant branch manager in Rockland.

Michele Lyons has been promoted to Branch Manager in Waterville.  Michele is well-known in the Waterville community and has been part of the Waterville team for many years.  She previously was the assistant branch manager in Waterville.
