Backpacks4ME 2025 – Filling Backpacks & Fueling Futures!

At Maine State Credit Union, we believe that every child deserves to head back to school feeling confident, prepared, and supported by their community. That’s why we’re excited to introduce Backpacks4ME, a community-driven initiative to provide essential school supplies to students in need across the state of Maine.

Program Dates: May 1 – August 15, 2025

Throughout the summer, our branches will be collecting school supply donations and assembling backpacks for local children and teens. Each backpack will be distributed through community programs serving families in our branch areas:

• Waterville Area: Tools to Thrive

• Augusta Area: Greater Augusta Back to School Program

• Gray Area: Community Cares

• Rockland Area: Area Interfaith Outreach

Drop off your donation at any Maine State Credit Union branch during business hours.

Make a Monetary Donation

In-Branch: Simply visit a teller and let them know you’d like to contribute to Backpacks4ME.
