Whether it is helping kids learn about finances or conducting mock interviews for students at a local high school, Dan Emery, Marketing Specialist at Maine State CU, brings passion, spirit and tireless energy to supporting his community.
His nomination for the Diane Oceretko "People Helping People" Award praised him for doing things for the betterment of others and the community and for being tireless in pursuing opportunities to improve the lives of people around him.
Though he has been at his credit union for just under four years, Dan "got what credit unions stand for, and are all about, right away. His work in the community is an extension of his belief that credit unions are about helping people."
Judging by all of the other activities and organizations Dan is involved with, from Junior Achievement to fundraising to helping restore the Augusta Colonial Theater, he is already making a difference and is just getting started.
